Where Can I Serve?

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of this church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. Church members are involved in a variety of ministries from things as simple as providing for the needy in the community to larger act of discipleship such as our ministries abroad.

Mission's

First Christian Church proudly supports the members of our church community as well as the surrounding community that we are a part of.  We have also worked with Horizon International to sponsor many children in third world countries and to send several our members abroad to help promote and spread the love of Christ. Musical Worship

We strive to have a service that honors God in both the word and in our music.  We have several members of the church that make up our wonderful choir as well as a few world class musicians that bring their mastery of music to our special services.  Joyful  Ringers include people of all ages that make up our hand bell choir.

Ushers

The usher team at our church fills an important role. They are involved in directing attendees to their seats, ensuring the safety of the building during services, valet parking anyone who needs or wishes it, helping visitors, answering questions, providing direction, and generally ensuring that the service can proceed problem-free. The usher team is a servant-hearted group of men and women whose ministry is integral to our weekly worship.

Media & Technology

Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of this church. In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes. All of our weekly sermons are uploaded to our website in video and audio formats. We also maintain an active Facebook feed for additional church communication.  Although we are a traditional church, we incorporate video and media into our worship services to help further promote our message.

Stephen's Ministries

The loss of a loved one can be sorrowful and difficult.  The Stephen's Ministries were established by individuals who have gone through the grieving process and want to help those who are currently going through it now.  We have several members who were trained by Stephen's Ministries to help those who are hurting and grieving.

Children's Church & Nursery

At FCC we realize that parents and children respond to worship in different ways.  During the regular worship service, the children are invited to go to children's church where they are taught about the Christian faith in a fun and interactive style.  We also have a nursery program for any younger children and babies staffed by our trained staff and volunteers for parents wishing to attend the service.

Logos

Logos is our youth group that meets on Sunday evenings at the church.  Logos strives to provide a place for kids to belong to that promotes a healthy Christian atmosphere.  At Logos the kids participate in music, worship, recreation and share a meal together.

Hospitality

The Hospitality committee was created to insure that all visitors to the church, new and existing, feel welcome every Sunday.  The Hospitality committee also host several church events such as our community Easter Egg Hunt, Parent's Night Out, Trunk or Treat and movie nights.  If you are a person who is outgoing and energetic then the hospitality committee would be a great fit for you!
